As I was the one that got the group going I was often seen as the 'teacher' or 'leader'. As time passed others came to join the group but not finding a 'leader' or 'healer' or 'someone to take their side in their illusions' they chose to leave. As it turned out only 4 of us became regular steady members who met once a week, with no absences for just over a year. The lesson reminds me of those others because as part of our meeting we would invite the Holy Spirit to take control of our meeting. Our agenda went like this: a) A little catch up time on the week from each of us...including good things, not so good things and any problem we wished to bring to the table b) One of us would take the ACIM book and together we would invite the Holy Spirit to show us the passage that we should read that night. Then the holder would simply allow the book to open where it willed. We would each read a paragraph(or more allowing the HS to decide) and read the whole section. c)Then we would discuss the passage read. And then we would marvel! Even now, years later as I write this the energy surges through me! For the passage read from the manual perfectly handled each of our concerns(though they may have appeared unrelated to us) and showed us that the there really is just one Answer to all problems.
