I am just starting ACIM after years of hearing about it, reading some of it, feeling confused but it has always been at the back of my mind as something to do – someday. Well that day is today- why- not becuase I am sad or angry – because I find myself at one of the happiest points I have ever had in my life. I feel fulfilled and joyful. However, I am experiencing some fear that it will not last. I found this web site and decided that I can chose to release this fear- but will need to learn how to do so. I am open to learning and hope there are others on the same path.

Hi Chris and group.
I have already done all the workbook, it was about 6 years ago. I am not sure how much I judged them. Some I am certain. Have decided to do them again to learn what I didn’t get before;lol. There is not a day of my life I don’t think about the course. At times things I thought i forgot comes back to me just when I need them. The course is TRUITH. I have been following the course for 14 years now. Do I have it down yet. NO. But heaven forbid where I would be if I never read it. (I shudder to think) Love and Light and Forgiveness to all.

Thanks for the opportunity to discuss my concerns with you. I have been lead to this site through many authors that I respect Ekhart Tolle, Marianne Williamson, Lousie Hays, Oprah Winfrey, and Iyanla VanZant to name a few.

I have been afraid of ACIM because of the power that I think is foreign and mystical and not Christian but I am constantly drawn into it.

And as the other commenter says I will be still and Know that God is God and will lead me in the right direction.

My question is about the ego. If the ego leads you to think things that are untrue about yourself and others and the goal is total forgiveness. How do you protect yourself when others miss use or hurt you?

This is my second attempt with ACIM. I had only completed 3 months of lessons and then let it go. I know I have resistance to being “present” still. But with a new “aha” perspective of this resistance I’m able to see just a little more clearly than I did before.

Thanks for sharing a bit about yourself, and your experiences! From what you’ve shared, I will be very curious to hear about your further experiences with the course… no matter what they entail, it is bound to be a wonderful learning experience (or reinforcement of existing knowns… either way it’s a win!)
